UK TV History now called 'Yesterday' is re-running the BBC 4 doc' The Seven Ages of Rock (see Tambands 2 for the original thread)
Now OK there were glaring omissions, inaccuracies and bizarre inclusions but ...
Mostly what a pile of junk, I'll still watch just to see if it really was that poor the first time around.
1. The Birth of Rock / Blues-rock / Jimi Hendrix 2. White Light, White Heat / Art rock / Pink Floyd / David Bowie 3. Blank Generation / Punk rock / The Ramones / Sex Pistols 4. Never Say Die / Heavy metal / Black Sabbath / Ozzy Osbourne 5. We Are the Champions / Stadium rock / Queen 6. Left Of The Dial / US Alternative rock / Nirvana / R.E.M. 7. What The World Is Waiting For / British Indie rock / Oasis
1, 4, 5 are Ok

I try watching it last time but it was very boring in places, it seem to be made up from the people they could get, and not getting the people that matter.
VH1 did a good documentary series about heavy metal.
