First up were ... Reining Fury: I've seen these a lot of times, and this wasn't their best performance, the vocals were indistinct, and for screaming that says quite a lot, the songs were too similar and just blurred into one.
Damn Fine Future: Standard pop rock with the front man doing a pretty good Bruce Springsteen impersonation, having said that I liked them, they're talented and capable musicians who can put together a show ... Ace Frehley guitar strap too, nice touch.
Electric cake Salad: These are different, and that makes a good change in Tamworth's BOTBs, as the amount of indentikit bands in Tamworth is astonishing. I'm not keen on the use of a drum machine, it grates after a while, but their electro rock style can be quite infectious.
Keep the Promise: One of Tamworth's identikit bands, they play teeny bob pop, and not very well ... Nuff said.
Different Glory: What a revelation, a band where you can actually hear what's being sung, they changed their compulsory cover song at the last minute, as a previous band had already covered it. With 4 highly adept musicians not playing music by numbers, I thought runner up was a shoe in, but ...
Result: Winner Reining Fury RU Keep the Promise
