Yet again bands that signed up, didn't bother to turn up, even a band that had rescheduled from another heat to this one, never showed.
The Tamworth music scene is on its a*se, 50% of the bands are lightweight chancers, who have as much credibility as politicians handshake!!
Second Time Round: Acoustic Duo, drafted in with minutes to go to bail out the organisers and the lightweight bands that were supposed to be playing ... In a town obsessed with 'Pop Punk', they're a fish out of water, but at least they had a go at swimming, which is more than can be said for the bands that were supposed to be on, but were too amateur to even turn up!
Trommel machine: Weird electric thing by a Tamworth stalwart, Colin Brown. He tried something different and it didn't quit come off, but at least he gave it his all, strange Sabbath cover, but engaging on the less.
Let's Burn Barney: Easily the winners, very competent and safe, but not much else.
Rote Geister: A strange noise fest, I think there may have been some music in there somewhere, but it was bad, and no I don't mean in a good way.
Winners -- Let's Burn Barney RU -- Trommel Machine
Conclusion: The music scene in Tamworth is surviving by one or 2 regulars, who'll come to the rescue of venues and promoters when 'let's form a band' bands get bored after 7 days and give up.
