Driven like the snow where as impressive as usual, they play with passion and conviction. Some people don't dig the slightly political nature of some of the songs, but they're performed with sincerity that there's not a hint of a 'Sting / Bono' eye on the bottom line duplicity. Great set, great songs, great performance.
At the zoo, well all their songs sound the same, and are delivered in that bizarre indie style that's so comical it's an acquired taste, one I don't have, plus their sound was atrocious with feedback everywhere.
Abraxus, the former darlings of the progressive scene, they don't play much nowadays and occasionally it showed, a good front girl 'Marie' tried to hold it together, but with the other band members hiding in the shadows it was hard, I'd like to see her do a duet with Colin from DTLS.
Smilie, well when I first saw him I was impressed by all the loops etc, now it's no longer a gimmick it's dull. Nuff said.
